Start here: find the right support

Understand grants, loans, subsidies and guarantees and identify government support for your business.

Find a starting point

1. Describe your business: location, activity, stage, legal form and funding need.

2. Browse the support directory by support type and activity. A listing is a starting point, not confirmation that you are eligible.

3. Open each promising listing. Read its conditions and follow the official source to check current rules, availability, deadlines and application route.

4. Ask the administering agency, incubator or lender about unclear conditions before spending money or submitting documents.

Choose the right kind of help

  • Grant: funding normally subject to specified conditions and use; repayment or recovery rules may apply if terms are breached.
  • Loan: money to be repaid with applicable interest and fees.
  • Subsidy: support that reduces an eligible cost, often linked to credit and subject to conditions.
  • Guarantee: protection for a lender against part of a credit risk; it does not cancel the borrower's repayment obligation.
  • Training or incubation: skills, advice, facilities or other assistance; financial support is not automatic.

For PMEGP, check how the official rules define the applicant category and project location; rural location and woman ownership are separate questions. For food processing through a self-help group, ask the state rural livelihoods mission about applicable group routes. General programmes may also be relevant.

Before you apply

Keep a short list of questions: Is the programme accepting applications? Is my activity eligible? What own contribution, collateral, fees or repayment are required? Which office or lender handles my case? What documents and deadlines apply? Never infer approval from a directory tag.
