Women founders
Start with the Women founders directory view. PMEGP lists women among special categories, subject to its rules. General opportunities such as MUDRA, training and startup seed support may also be relevant when their individual conditions are met. Ask the implementing agency which ownership or documentation requirements apply; a directory tag is not proof of eligibility.
Rural founders
Start with the Rural founders view. PMEGP distinguishes rural and urban project locations. Food-processing entrepreneurs can investigate PMFME individual or group components, while founders seeking small-business credit can ask a participating lender about MUDRA. Confirm whether the proposed activity, location and entity qualify.
Women in rural communities
Both paths may apply. If working through a self-help group, investigate the PMFME group component and ask the state rural livelihoods mission about the relevant process. Compare this with individual support where appropriate; do not assume benefits can be combined.
Questions to ask locally
- Which office or agency handles the programme in my district?
- Is it currently accepting applications and is funding available?
- What evidence of location, ownership, group membership or activity is required?
- Is the support linked to a bank loan or a required contribution?
- Can this be combined with support already received?
